Flag Cheer is our program for kindergarteners and 1st graders who are interested trying cheerleading. A combined practice/flag football game is held on Monday nights. Cheerleaders practice two nights per week in August with the older girls in preparation for Opening Ceremonies.
Intraleague Cheer is our program for 2nd through 5th graders with a one practice, one game commitment per week. Practice is held on Monday nights, and games are held Tuesday through Thursday nights.
Our goal is to have a cheer squad for each football team, with game schedule varying weekly. If we do not have enough registered cheerleaders, however, each squad will be assigned a designated game night for the season.
Colt Competition Cheerleading is our program for more advanced cheerleaders in 4th through 8th grades. Colt Cheer combines sideline cheering for our Colt Travel Teams with preparation for and participation in local cheer competitions. Previous experience is helpful. Tryouts are REQUIRED.
The Colt Cheerleaders cheer at all HOME games on Saturdays. There is a minimum of two weeknight practices, as well as weekend practices to prepare for competition.
Clinics and mandatory tryouts are held in April.
