2008 ACYA Football Season
ACYA will continue the flag football league started in 2007 for 5 and 6 year olds. The flag league provides an excellent introduction to organized football for our younger players. The league will run for approximately 6 weeks, beginning after Labor Day. Teams will meet once per week for a brief practice and then a game. Players will play in shorts, a league provided t-shirt, and will be provided flag belts. No additional equipment will be required.
The 6 year olds, who would prefer to play organized tackle football, are encouraged to sign-up for our Pee-Wee division. This league will begin the 3rd week in August and run through the first week in November. The league provides a helmet and shoulder pads. Players are required to provide pants with pads, cleats and a mouth piece.
Our Minor and Major leagues will field teams based on age. There will be 8 yr old, 9 yr old, 10 yr old, and 11/12 yr old teams. Players should meet the age parameters as of May 1, 2008.
